CNA Exam Questions Are Easy When You Prepare

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor & Statistics Occupational Handbook, job opportunities for nursing, psychiatric and home health aides is expected to rise significantly, with a growth faster than the average rate. This booming growth is attributed to the high replacement needs for nursing assistants and the expanding medical field today. More jobs will be available for those who aspire to become part of the medical industry. You should start a career by becoming a certified nursing assistant (CNA). A certification exam is needed to be taken by aspiring nurses. You have to get most CNA exam questions correctly to acquire a license.

The CNA test, otherwise called the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP), is conducted to measure the background and skills of a particular nursing assistant. If you pass the exam, the Nurse Aide Registry of your state will include you to the official list of nursing assistants. You will be eligible to work as a CNA only if you possess a license. The CNA exam questions are divided into two: written and hands-on. You can take both exam questions on the same day. It is important to pass both parts of the exam to qualify for certification.

The written questions are usually placed in a multiple choice format. The number of CNA exam questions for the written portion is seventy; however, the number of questions differs from every state. The questions are printed in English, but you can also take an oral English or written Spanish exam if you have difficulty in understanding written English. The hands-on part asks applicants to demonstrate at least five basic CNA skills and procedures. You must be able to do the tasks correctly to pass this particular part. A designated evaluator will assess your performance.

You have to pass both parts of the examination. If you fail one portion, you can actually retake the particular part. Also, most states are given three attempts to take the certification test. There are various methods you can do to prepare you for the actual test. You can create a study guide and review basic concepts and procedures learned during your training. You can also take advantage of the available CNA sites that provide CNA exam questions for practice.
