CNA testing and exam: To become a certified nursing assistant you will need to complete 100 training hours of both classroom and hands on training. The certification test is usually made up of two parts namely the theory and practical part.

Your theory part would consist of simple questions related to what you have learnt in your CNA certification class. Your practical includes demonstrating your skills in helping a patient get up form the bed, get up, walk, and use the toilet. You will be notified by the Illinois department of health once you clear your exam.
