Here is how you can get your Colorado CNA license.

Requirements: Your first step would be to understand and know the requirements that you need to obtain a CNA certification course. In the state of Colorado you need to join an accredited institute by the state’s nursing board that offers CNA training program. You must be 18 years of age, provide a clean background check and a negative TB test.

Course work: Once you are accepted by the CNA training institute, you need to have at least 100 hours of classroom training and clinical training. You will need to do your clinical training in a hospital or nursing home. You also have the option of doing your CNA course work through online, but you need to check out on that with the Colorado nursing board.

The main drawback of studying through online is that you will have to do your clinical test in a centre through you can study your classroom material at home.

CNA Exam: To write the CNA exam, you have to give a personal check or money order of $95 and mail it to Pearson VUE/Colorado Board of Nursing, 3131 S. Vaughn Way, Suite 205, Aurora, CO 80014. You will receive a notification about your exam center in a few weeks time. You will have to score excellent marks in both your written and practical section of your CNA exam.
