In today’s trend of digitalization, it is not surprising that even certifications for medical professionals can be done online. Phlebotomy, CPR and CNA training can now be acquired in just a few clicks. Getting trained and attaining certification for CNA instructors is not spared from this hype. Many schools today have made an effort to bring the training closer to prospect CNA instructors. Similarly, certifying bodies also made it easier for the candidates to file their license applications.
Generally, it takes three simple steps for one to become a certified CNA instructor. Note, however, that this procedure only applies to those with at least two years of employment in the nursing field or at least a year of experience in CNA teaching. First, instructor-candidates need to attend schools and training centers and pass the licensure examination administered by local certifying bodies. The last step would be the application for certifications from their local board of registry, prior to their job applications in their chosen medical facilities. The same procedure may apply in getting certifications from CNA instructor classes online.
From CNA instructor classes online, candidates may learn different techniques in teaching and creating the syllabus while acquiring an intensive review of all the basic skills and knowledge a CNA should have. Online training programs may cost around $480 and last for at least five days (should the candidates have a significant experience as RN or LPN). There may be several online classes for CNA instructors online, but it is a must to have a background of these training providers. Be sure that they are approved and accredited by the local state’s Department of Public Health.
The session for CNA instructor classes online usually starts with learning and review of basic nursing skills. This will be followed with the demonstration of lesson plan development methods, explanation of learning principles and definition of legal requirements. Video instructions, chats and conferences make up for what seems to be a virtual learning for the future practitioners. A certification of completion can be printed upon the completion of the training. The following schools may give you the much needed training to become a CNA instructor:
